Create template from page

In many other systems I have seen an option "Create template from Page".  This would be a very nice feature to have since it could simply utilize an existing Page and thereby create it as a template to be used for other subsequent pages.  This would avoid having to manually create a template separate from the existing Page set.

Actually we already have an alternative to "Create template from Page ...". You can duplicate your page (which means that all controls inside the original will be copied). The "Duplicate" option is under Actions:

Duplicating a page is not exactly the same thing as creating a template from a page.  Creating a template implies that there are elements of reusability that can simply be modified in a single location to update all inherited pages whereas duplicating a page requires modifications of changes on each and every duplicated/copied page.
