Less generic related data

Ok look...SF knows what my dynamic types are right?

So why is it when I add a new Guid or Guid[] field I don't have the option to pick the type of content I want to link in.  Doing that would have SF auto-gen me a picker instead of having to then re-invent the wheel every time with a new thunder control.  Like if the picker is generated magically by you guys, then when a bug in the code is encountered, we don't have to refactor every single one of our picker controls....and if we want more control than we can CHOOSE to create our own (like we do now)
