I only want to search for content on child pages under a specific group page, not the entire site.

Hi,

You can take a look at this blog post:http://www.sitefinity.com/blogs/teodorgeorgiev/posts/teodor-georgievs-blog/2011/08/18/publishing_system_brief_walkthrough 

It contains a SearchNoIndex pipe that will not index specified pages. You can find the updated sample for 5.4. Just remove the missing references and and the Telerik.Sitefinity ones from your project's bin folder. After that when you install the module it will register the pipe.
