7.0 do not index - triggers reindex or warn useer needed?

I assume that if you uncheck the checkbox  'Allow site search to index this page'  the Sitefinity search indexes are not refreshed automatically and therefore the page content sill available until the index is reindexed.

 If this is true, could it make sense when in edit (not create) mode to warn about this?

Yes, your assumption is correct. You will need to re-index in order for the edited page to not be in the index anymore. I have logged a feature request in our system, so please follow the link below and cast your vote to increase its popularity:
