Sitefinity 4 source code option

Hello,

We are planning to migrate to Sitefinity 4 and trying the decide which Sitefinity version would meet our needs.

As I saw, there is source code option on Professional and Enterprise editions on Sitefinity 4. We wonder that, what would be the advantage of buying a version (Professional or Enterprise) which gives us source code option.

What exactly could we use the source code, while developing our website? For example could we add our own defined user controls to the sitefinity if we buy "Standard" Edition? Or could we add our custimized CSS classes to "ContentBlock" in "Standard" Edition?

I would really appreciate the info which you could provide.

Thanks in Advance,
