Upgrading 3.7 (.net 3.5) to 4.2

I have an old 3.7 SF Version running on .net 3.5 on a server A
What would be the best way to update it to 4.2 if it has to be on server B at the end

PS: Server A can not handle  SF 4.2

Hello Markus Berchtold,

You need to upgrade your 3.7 website to 3.7 SP4 .NET 4. You can do that by applying the patch which can be downloaded from your downloads page ( refer to the attached screenshot ).

Then on server B, where you have 4.2 installed just follow the on-screen instructions which will guide you through the process.
