Hi,

We have a lot of usercontrols with public properties that we moved from sitefinity3.7 to 4.4 but I am not able to access these properties in edit mode, how do you create public properties in sitefinity 4.4 usercontrols that can be accessed in edit mode?

Annie, when you click "Edit" on your widget, does the control designer open? This is where you should see several widget properties, including any public ones you've defined on the control. Let me know what you see and we can go from there.

Hi SelArom,

Thanks for your reply. We have some public properties that are enums. In sitefinity 3.7 enums used to appear as dropdowns but that is no longer supported right?

Currently the auto-designer renders textboxes for all fields. Do add support for alternate controls for input, a control designer must be implemented.

There is an example here that demonstrates building a control designer that includes an enum:
