Hi All,

I am following the link docs.sitefinity.com/migrate-sitefinity-3-7-projects for migration 3.7 site to the latest version. But I am not getting below option:

3. On the Dashboard of the new Sitefinity CMS site, click Migrate your site from Sitefinity CMS 3.7 to the newest version link. Sitefinity CMS Migration page is displayed.

Even the option Set SF3.7 for migration option is unavailable in Sitefinity Project manager for the site.
Please let me know how to migrate from 3.7 to the latest version.

Thank you in Advance,

Sudhir.

Hi,

The Action item "Set SF3.7 for migration" for the Automatic migration setup is located under "Actions".
cfr. http://screencast.com/t/hrcgiKtMDgG

Some additional information:
As Sitefinity 4.0 is developed from scratch, all the projects before that version should be Migrated first. For this the project needs to be on version 3.7 SP4. (You can check your version like so:
http://www.sitefinity.com/developer-network/knowledge-base/how-to-check-your-current-sitefinity-version)

If necessary, upgrading to the SP4 version is described here:

Hi Dimitri,

Our old site is on version 3.7 SP4(V 3.7.2136.2). I have followed the steps mentioned in docs.sitefinity.com/migrate-sitefinity-3-7-projects . But I am not getting the option for the step 3 in the new site. Is it anything related to License? We have standard license.

Thank you,

Sudhir.

Hi Sudhir,
Thanks for your reply.
The Standard license should be fine.
Can you please try to access the url directly:
ie.
http://<yourhost>:<yourport>/Sitefinity/administration/migration

Please note that the Migration tool must be installed and active.

Please let me know how that works out.
Thanks,

Hi Dimitri,

After migration to 9.1, the old RadMenu bar is not displaying in Drag widgets. Is there any thing we need to add to get the Radmenubar? The Telerik.Web.UI.dll already present in Bin folder.

Thanks,

Sudhir.

Hello Sudhir,

You can enable the old navigation menu as described here:
http://docs.sitefinity.com/old-navigation-widget

Alternatively you can change in the template your navigation with the current default one based on Kendo Menu.
