Custom order processing automation through post purchase hooks?

One of the features listed on the Sitefinity ECommerce page is "Custom order processing automation through post purchase hooks".  We have some electronic delivery goods and making the download links available immediately after the credit card approval process would be very handy.

Is this documented anywhere?
