How are ratings on the items handled...is it up to me to manage that\provide a UI to rate?

So if 100 people rate it 5/5, then someone rates it 1...how do i know how many ratings there are in order to do the math on that, do I need to add in a custom field to store rating counts?

What are others doing?

Hello Steve,

Thanks for using Sitefinity.

Right now we have not implemented a rating system in Sitefinity (I'm guessing you saw the tables for it). It is tentatively in the works but not accessible via the UI or API and we don't have a hard release date for it yet. However, you can use a third party control or develop your own using the module builder for the time being if it is a requirement.

Yeah I already have one...question though is the Rating property on the product object itself

Should I stay away from that, or can I use it and when you implement it on your end...?

Hello Steve,

I would avoid using it as the property is going to change upon actual implementation and isn't currently supported. Right now we have no supported rating system for products but there will be one in the future. Sorry for the confusion.
