Event Registration Widget linked to eCommerce

I downloaded the Event Registration Widget from:

www.sitefinity.com/.../events-registration-widget

Followed the Installation and configuration Instructions, creating several custom fields, one of them relates the event to an existent Product but once i submit the registration that i have for an specific event the Product is not added to the current Cart.

Has anybody used this widget before, the Installation video shows that can be done that way, but doesn't show much details about the linking to the product.
