Custom pricing calculated by user input

Does sitefinity support out of the box custom pricing rules based on user input data fields?

As an example, custom made curtains are a good example. Sitefinity ecommerce would require the user to input "height" and "width" dimensions into textbox fields to be fed into a calculation/rules/expression to work out the price.

 If this isn't supported within Sitefinity as standard, is it possible for a developer to achieve this?

There is similar approach that could be achieved out-of-the-box using variations.
