Sitefinity 5.3 and Amazon EC2

We are running a multiple server setup on EC2. The database server is SQL 2008 R2, on a Large Instance. We also have a separate web server running Windows 2008 R2, on a medium instance.

The web server is often hitting 100% on the CPU. It is hosting multiple sites, but has not been deployed. We are talking the max of 5 people hitting at once. The service W3Wp.exe, for each site, causes the CPU to hit 100%.

Anyone else running on EC2? Are they recommended specs anywhere?

Thanks!

Hi,

I think there is a performance problem probably comming from a user control on a page that is utilizing 100% of the CPU time. If I am correct the same problem will occur when running the site on the local IIS and the high CPU utilization will reproduce. If this occur test with the test scenario described in this KB article to isolate the cause of the proble to a single control.

Kind regards,
