Hello,

I am working on one site which is in 5.4 trial version.

Now our client is having already existing one site with 3.7 version.

We need to upgrade the account and need to configure our code for the same domain.

Please assist us as soon as possible.

This documentation is a good start I think.

We are confused for one point that as we have created new site in 5.4 and old site was in 3.7 .

Now if we are going to migrate code then it will migrate first old site code and then we can use its licence file to our new site.

Is that process is correct ?

Hello Nidhi,

The migration process migrates all Sitefinity content - such as users, news items, pages, page templates, etc. However, you might need to re-create all custom widgets and modules ( which are not present in 5.x ) as the migration module does not support migrating of custom code.

After you migrate your 3.7 content to 5.4 and configure it accordingly, you can register a domain in our system for your license and deploy your site to that domain.

The following article can be useful to you:
