Sitefinity 3.7 to current or WordPress

Our host built our website in 2012 and now wants us to move it from Sitefinity to WordPress. When we had the website built one of the reasons we had them chose them because they didn't use an open source CMS. We have been paying them for hosting and maintenance I was thinking the maintenance fee was for keeping the site CMS updated because we manage our content. I guess not as it looks like we are running on an old version of Sitefinity (3.7).

I would like to know where to find information to transfer a sitefinity site and about the migration path from 3.7 to current. If someone is willing to be our contractor and take this task on we’d also be open to that.

Hi,

You might consider a migration of Sitefinity to our latest version Sitefinity 7.2 and take advantage of all new features and bug fixes.

Have in mind that we have started version Sitefinity 4.0 from scratch. This let us revise the architecture from scratch and incorporate all lessons we learned while working on Sitefinity 3.X.

More information about migration could be found in this section from our documentation:

As a side note: Our Sitefinity Partners could provide further assistance regarding migration of your site.
