Site Sync and keeping local environments up-to-date

We are setting up Site Sync for the first time, and we're trying to decide on the right workflow. Here is our current setup:

1. DEV - Each developer has a DEV installation running locally. Content contributors do not have access to the DEV installations.

2. QA - Content contributors do have access to QA.

3. Production

Currently, we refresh our local database by replacing it with the Production database every few weeks. If we sync content from QA to Production, will we still be able to keep our local DEV installations up-to-date with the Production database? Is there a better way for us to set up our workflow?

 Thanks,
Mike
