Sync from production to staging?

Here is the scenario...

We have a blog where user can comment, but we will require the comment to be approved before it is shown. This will require data(comment) sync from production server to our staging server, where our business user can approve the comments before syncing approved comment back to production server.

I understand that site sync is one way, so can someone recommend how the workflow should be in this case or the best way of solving this problem? It is simply too labor intensive if we need to do database restore from production to staging everytime there is new comment coming in.

Hi Charles,

As you mentioned the sync is one way and you need to approve them on the production site. In order to set the comments for approval before publish, you can configure this as described here:
http://docs.sitefinity.com/administration-enable-comments-and-ratings

Than you can subscribe the moderator that will approve the comments to receive notifications, thus he/she could login and approve them. More information how to achieve this is available here:
http://docs.sitefinity.com/subscribe-to-news-items--comments-that-are-awaiting-approval

I hope this helps.
