Hi,

Is it posible to copy a page or page content from one site (my sitefinity running on localhost) to another site (another localhost sitefinity or sitefinity run on IIS),

I searched for the source files( .aspx or .cshtml)  but i can't find them.

How do i do that, is there any tools?

Regards,

Eddy

Hi Eddy,

There won't be source files as all data including page definitions is in the database. The only way I can think of is using the Sitefinity API. That would be quite some work, but worth it if you plan to do this a lot.

Hey Eddy,

There used to be a tool called Copy, Paste, Done which is still in the marketplace, however its not been updated lately so you might need to check/reach out for compatibility with the version you are using.

Having said that, if you have a license edition (or trial) that includes the SiteSync module, you can easily transfer content using that as the built-in Site Export currently is limited to modules and taxonomies and doesn't allow for page content.

Hope this helps,
Jochem

Hi All,

Thanks for the suggestions,  then i will try it.

I also found a topic about Code Sync & Deploy, i think it also good to be tried.

Eddy
