1603 Error during install - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

I am attempting to install 4.0.962.

Windows Server 2003 x32 SP2

Windows installer version: Windows ® Installer. V 4.5.6001.22159

All prereqs installed without error.

I've attempted to install twice, both with same error results.

I would have attached the log file, but only images are apparently supported.

Extract from end of log file follows:

Hi topry,

The error you are getting is a common error (1603) and it does not give you some specific information about the actual issue. You could try to restart your machine because it is possible that some files are in use and this is why second and third attempts to install Sitefinity will fail. You can avoid system restarts by using FilesInUse Dialog or MsiRMFilesInUse Dialog (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa372835%28VS.85%29.aspx)

If possible could you send the entire log file? You can open a support request or Bug Report. Another option is attaching the log to a live link from where we can download it. Could you tell me whether you have

1. Running instance of Visual Studio? If so, can you close it and try again.
2. Can you try to exclude RadControls for AJAX and RadControls for Silverlight from the installation by using Custom installation mode.

Custom install w/out RAD or Silverlight controls worked.

That is sufficient for our eval - thanks.
