User Control Properties

I don't understand why there is a difference in the Control Designer that is automatically generated by User Controls for Sitefinity 4.  In the past, a boolean field would get a checkbox, a Enum would get a drop-down list, etc.  Now, it's all just plain textboxes which doesn't work at all.  We have a bunch of .ASCX controls created for Sitefinity, and now we're finding them unusable.  Why was this change made, and is there a timeline or method for fixing this feature?

Hi,

You have to create a custom control designer for these controls. Actually you can set the values in the default control designer, but as you noticed there is no user friendly representation of the properties. This is something that we are going to fix in one of the next releases.

All the best,
