Categories not ordered correctly when tagging Content in bac

When I choose to tag a piece of content (Blog Post, News Item, etc.) using the Sitefinity back-end the listing of 'Categories' is not being sorted by its ordinal value.  Instead it is not applying any ordering when retrieving items from the database -- So that items are listed in the ordered they were created.

When I browse Content > Categories and then use the Actions menu to re-order items at the root or within the hierarchy I would expect that in other areas of the back-end interface where Categories are shown that they would be in the order I had arranged them.
