FF 4 Leaks?

I was doing some heavy editing in FF 4 RC1 last night with three sitefinity 4.0 tabs open (backend and frontend) and I was rocking a painfully slow 1.6Gigs of memory usage

Anyone else experience this or was it a fluke?

(I could watch the process in the task manager climb)

Hello Steve,

I personally tried it at home, although I haven't reached such numbers, I certainly saw huge memory usage on the client side. We haven't investigated this yet, but I tried it with beta and dev versions of Chrome and IE - no such leaks were found.

I hope that we will be able to support it as soon as FF is officially available.

Hello Steve,

I am not surprised that Firefox consumes a lot of memory. Right now my FF is on 300 MB with couple of tabs open (no Sitefinity). we have not thoroughly tested this browser as it is not an official release.

FF 4.0 is going to be an official release very very soon! As far as I know next week. So some thouroghly testing would be appreciated :-)

Hello Markus Berchtold,

You can achieve 1.7GB with FF while fire bug is on. This will crash your browser.
So the clear way is to run FF without plugins.

Best wishes,
