Resource Cannot be found Error after upgrade - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

Hi,
I just upgraded to 4.1 from 4.0 and now none of the background images used in my css file are loading. If I try to go directly to the image by typing in that image url, I get a resource not found error, even though I know for a fact it is there.

I saw this post http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/forums/sitefinity-4-x/bugs-issues/419660-the-resource-cannot-be-found.aspx and tried their fix but it still didn't work. When I changed the urlroot to sf-images, nothing happend but when I ran the testpage from http://www.sitefinity.com/devnet/kb/sitefinity-4-x/static-files-are-not-served-from-images-or-videos-folders.aspx, all of the sudden no images are showing up. If I rename the urlroot to sf-images and then re-run that page, the uploaded images work but the static background images do not.

Any solution? This is really annoying. I was not expecting to have to hassle with this after the upgrade.

Can you please show us how are you linking to the images in static content?
