Cannot connect to project SF 4.1 - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

I've installed Sitefinity 4.1 on my companies webserver and used the Project manager to create a new project. When I select the project and click browse a IE8 window opens and attempts to connect to the localhost and goto a sitefinity/startup page but this page never loads.

The browser said "website found. waiting for reply..." then "Redirecting to localhost(reset of URL)..." and these two messages repeat one after another and never resolve to any website. I cannot continue upgrading to sitefinity 4.1 without being able to test it first. What must I do to resolve this issue?

My webserver is running windows 2003 and IIS6.

Please go trough the official instalation instructions and this video.
