What triggers "Under Construction" page?

What specifically is checked to determine if the under construction page appears? Is it an exception gets thrown, a certain config setting, etc.?

This is just a guess. As soon as you set a page as homepage it will not show. So I would assume SF looks if any page is set as homepage and if not displays under construction.

Guess my guess does not help to much but maybe until Telerik answers it's an idea to look :-)

Hello Adam,

In general the under construction page is displayed if there isn't homepage set. As Markus mentioned once the homepage is set by the administrator, the under construction page will not be displayed. But also if the administrator restrict the access to the homepage(using permissions) for particular set of roles, the under construction page will be displayed(when one which doesn't had access try to access the homepage).
