Send Test Message button in Email Campaigns

When I click on the Send Test Message button in the Email Campaigns for testing my Smtp Server settings, clicking on the button does not provide any type of progress indicator or other feedback to indicate that the e-mail message is being sent.  I am using Sitefinity v. 4.2 and I have tested this with both Internet Explorer 9 and Google Chrome.

We do show our users a confirmation message by default - it appears right after the "Send test message" button has been clicked and the message has successfully made it through the SMTP server. Please check the attached screenshot.
