Shared Content in Template - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

I'm trying to add shared content to a template but the option isn't there. It is visible when on a page, but not for a template. This is pretty frustrating since the site has 6 templates. I have the choice of adding a shared content piece to all 100 pages, or adding a non-shared content block to 6 templates (would require my client editing his content 6 times).

Thoughts / Fix?

Thank you for contacting Telerik support.
Currently Shared content in templates is not supported. It is a higlhy requested feature and it is logged in PITS with ID 5916. You can also vote and help to raise its priority.
