Missing Images after Migration

When using the migration tool to upgrade my website to 4.2 none of the images show up. Strange thing is, there seem to be entries for the images in the database but not the images themselves. When I click on Content>Images I see a gallery of all the images that should be there, but the thumbnails are all grey squares with the file name written inside them. Looking at the source code for the page, it seems that it is looking for the image with this address "/images/logos/maxq-logo.png.tmb?Status=Master&random=0.2361427080281192"

This folder does not exist in my original website, prior to the migration. and so did not exist in the new migrated website. I went in and manually created the folders images/logos and placed the png file inside. The image still did not show up as a thumbnail.

When I use firebug to remove the ".tmb?Status=Master&random=0.2361427080281192" the image shows up. The image thumbnails are also missing in the other screens like when trying to add an image that (should) already exist on the server.

As expected, when trying to add one of these missing images to a page the image itself is missing.

What is this .tmb?Status=Master&random=0.2361427080281192 that is being added to the end of my image paths? How do I get rid of it so that my images display?
Am I supposed to manually move over all of my site's images?

All images stored in the theme folder transfered just fine with the rest of the site.

Also, when using sitefinity to upload a new image from my desktop the entry seems to make made into sitefinity but the file itself is not being put into the folder that sitefinity then looks in for it. I have to manually copy the file into the images/logos folder, then sitefinity can find it. But it still does not show up as a thumbnail in the image module

Hello Chris,

We'll need some additional information to determine what causes the issue. What was the version of Sitefinity you upgraded from? Where do you get this behavior - locally or on your production server? Having a look on your website would be helpful, so please post a link to it. If you can open a support ticket and provide us will backed access to  your website, we'll be able to inspect it locally and come up with a solution faster.

Kind Regards
