invalid chars on title attribute and urls

Hi,
I have two problem with Turkish chars;

First: Sitefinity generates invalid characters on title attributes with Turkish chars such as;
<img width="240" style="float: right;" title="DSÄ° Genel MüdürlüÄŸü" alt="dsi logo" src="/images/kurumsal/dsi-genel-müdürlüğü.jpg">
This also happens with document links.

Second: url names on any type of content are problematic such as;
<a href="/kurumsal-yapi/hakk%C4%B1m%C4%B1zda/ge%C3%A7mi%C5%9Ften-g%C3%BCn%C3%BCm%C3%BCze-dsi-%27ni-y%C3%B6netenler">Geçmişten Günümüze DSİ'ni Yönetenler</a>

The ' char causes 404 and encoding Turkish chars makes urls unfriendly and too long.

Kind Regards

Hello Mkavici,

 Thank you for contacting support.

I am not sure I understand your questions. Could you please provide us with more details about the scenarios you are trying to implement?

Kind regards,

Hi,
After uploading an image (the image title contains Turkish chars such as İığüÜşŞçÇöÖ), I insert the image in a content block in a page. After publishing the page, image tooltip (the title attribute) is garbled (such as; "DSİ Genel Müdürlüğü" becomes  "DSÄ° Genel MüdürlüÄŸü" ), this also happens on document titles.
I hope you can understand the issue.
Kind regards,

Hi,

Thank you for the clarification.

Unfortunately, I did not manage to reproduce this behavior on my side (see attached video). Do you reproduce the issue with all browsers?  Please, send us the whole project (project files, database, backend credentials) to debug the issue locally.

Hi,

I managed to reproduce only the issue with broken tooltip (the title attribute), but not the broken URL issue. I logged PITS issue in our issue tracking system.You can follow the PITS Issue by its ID: 9010.

Hi,
Broken urls caused by quotation mark seems fixed in sf 4.4. But SF should not allow Turkish chars such as "ü,ç,ş,ğ,ı,ö" in urls. They should be converted to  "u,c,s,g,i,o"
Kind Regards

I have looked into this kind of scenario and  logged a PITS issue for this. You can follow the PITS Issue by its ID: 9054 .
I updated your Telerik points.
