This may save some time and frustration to someone:

Today the Sitefinity Project Manager decided to assign my site to port 25.
It led to "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page." (yes I proudly use IE :). message.
Anyway if it happens to you - just restart the project manager.
It will pick up a new port and you will see your lovelly site ;).
It happens randomly rarely :) and probably most developers use IIS so I don't think it's a big deal.
Just wanted to mention it to save some frustration.
P.S. It's a Sitefinity 5 installation not quite sure if it happens for older versions.
