Does anyone know of clear lists indicating what issues have been resolved since SF 4.2?

We have a client application currently generating a lot of exceptions and we need to know whether or not the expense of upgrading will resolve them.

Many of them have the following in the stack trace: System.Web.Hosting.IIS7WorkerRequest.RaiseCommunicationError
