Error log out of control

I have a site on Sitefinity version 4.1 SP3 and it has visits at about 800 hits per hour, each request is generating a call to

/WebResource.axd?d=SmoCt7sh9h2PhIu0xKeNXpKS9iWc5dSXOn2gvDBjsJZCyzsQQETxbjQz8J93mPDr7yAZCnSQN1FEstPu483zW17XlWOe8WtYr1TH2nz8dQH6WXKNhcqerxQlFP__Usk2LPOTiGP7j-PtXEjZGKhZRXjeuWJ61In-Vu8mToj6i0E1&t=634704489693277899

which always gets a 404 response,
this is making the enterprise library logging block create around 20 log files per day, 1 megabyte each.

I have not found why this resource is being called or why it is not found, 

any insight on the matter would be appreciated.
