Open link in new page option not working with a Redirecting

Maybe an old issue, or existing in this forums, but I couldn't find information.
I'm having a multilingual website where I've added a Redirect Page. This page should open in a new windows, so I've checked the checkbox for this.

Unfortunately it doesn't work.
Is this a known issue?
