publishing error

When I try to publish A page or content type I am getting an error which says the content type of the response message does not match the content type of the binding. I am seeing these on two of our developers machines but a third one works fine. This leads me to believe I may have some kind of permission problem as I have tried copying the code and database from the machine its working on to my local machine and the error does not go away.
