Error code 12031 msg from website

I'm getting a popup when I try to edit the properties of a document.
1) Click on Documents & Files
2) Click on a zip document (pdf's seem ok)
3) Page opens for document properties (before data population)
4) Popup msg "Return code: 12031"
5) Automaticly redirected back to Docuemnts & Files page
A temporary work around that seems to work is I've created a new library (Library 2), I move the documents to this library and then I can open the properties of the document. What doesn't work is that if i attempt to move my documents back to the first library the files properties become inaccessibile again.
