News Control Javascript

Hi, your news control includes a version of jquery. This conflicts with every other bit of javascript on my site and breaks my menu, datepicker etc etc the list goes on.

The best bit is I am not making use of any jquery within your news control, can you let me know a solution? It seems as though every "out of the box" bit of Sitefinity does not work very well.
