Page Templates page slow to load - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

When I load the Page Templates page in the Sitefinity backend (5.4 with hotfix), it's very slow to load. The following two requests take between 6 and 12 minutes. This just started happening. I don't know if restarting the website or database would help -- can't do this in our production environment right now. It's working fine in our QA environment, which is running the same Sitefinity version and has the same templates.

Hi Eric,

Is you database on the same server as your site? Can you tell me if you are having this issue with any other backend pages?

This happened after we tried to implement load balancing and moved the website folder to a network share. We ended up experiencing other performance issues (nothing as bad as this) and ended up moving back to having local folders for each web server. Whether moving the folders fixed it, I don't know, but it doesn't seem to be an issue any more.
