Hi,

I'm using Sitefinity 3.7 Standard Edition for a website that we are developing for one of our clients. Recently the client conducted a Load Test on the website and concluded that every page is giving a call to CmsEntryPoint.aspx page which is taking more than 24 seconds to load. Is there anything we can do to reduce this load time?

Hi Saumitra,

The page you are talking about is the entry point to the CMS's dynamic pages. Basically it serves as a handler and a base page through which all CMS pages are loaded. In that sense it is expected to see the highest load time.

In order to be able to tell what is the problem can you please let us know what kind of customizations you have on the website? Do you have custom controls that appear on all pages? Is output caching enabled for your CMS pages? Also do you see any improvement in the performance when you apply the steps outlined in this blog post: Tips to optimize your website performance.
