Unable to Add New Items to Libraries

I am unable to add new items to any image or document libraries. i am unable to click on the "Select" or "Upload" buttons (i.e., no link indicated-pointing finger icon). The "Add" and "Upload a zip file" buttons do work. Any ideas?
