Specified ID cannot be found errors

Today when creating new pages and/or layout templates I am receiving the following error when I drag layout items to the page, or content items to a layout.

A page with the specified ID (guid) cannot be found.

The content (image to keep it simple) doesn't load in the box and layout items apeared in the reverse order of how they were entered.

I can edit pages created prior to today just fine.

It seems you have an orphaned id somewhere and we will need a bit more information to pin point the cause. Can you please do the following: 
1) Reproduce the error and attach your error.log
2) Check the sf_page_nodes and sf_page_data if there actually is an item with this id and what the results are when you look for it.
3) Trace us back any steps that may have lead to the issues. What kind of work was done since yesterday
and what kind of changes were made. 
4) Does it occur on every page and/or template or just specific ones
