Javascript Error on RadRotator on Sitefinity in IE11

We are getting the following javascript error on IE11:

Could not complete the operation due to error 80020101.

The error appears to be occurring on the RadRotator on our hompage. 

The website is using Sitefinity 5.0. The Telerik.Web.UI File Version is 2011.3.1115.40 (So I believe the RadRotator would be from 2011 Q3).

Are there any known compatibility issues for the versions of Sitefinity and RadRotator we are using?

As the Telerik.Web.UI version is from 2011 I believe we can safely say that this is an incompatibility issue. When this version of the rad controls was released, IE 11 was not, so it was not developed with the standards the browser requires. 

I would suggest to upgrade your Sitefinity instance to the latest available version as it includes a more recent Telerik.Web.UI assembly. If that does not suffice you can take a look at the following articles for a possible solution:
