Unable to install Sitefinity - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

Hi, I have downloaded the Trial Version from the website. I run the installation from the file: SitefinityTrialSetup_2014.04.

After the installation progressed upto setting Demo Site, I get the following error:

Could not load file or assembly 'Sitefinity, Version=7.0.5100.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b28c218413bdf563' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

I am actually trying to install 6.3.5000.0.

Is it possible to install the above mentioned version? If not, how to solve this error?

I am Windows 7 SP 1 64 Bit.

Hi Saideep,

You could check whether the dll file the project is referencing is actually present in the project or try adding and referencing it again. You can also download the Sitefinity project manager from your account -> Sitefinity -> Download -> Sitefinity 7.0 Project Manager (latest version) and set up your project through it.

You can download a trial of the latest Sitefinity version. If you want a different version and it is not available in your account, please contact your account manager or sales@sitefinity.com
