Narrow by Typing Search Not Returning Results

When I search images (in the image libraries) or documents (in the document & file manager) using "narrow by typing" box from with the content editor, the search is not filtering all the items that contains the text in the box. Why would this search is not working properly?

Hi Betsy,

Did you receive any error message in the browser console or in the Error.Log file (~/App_Data/Sitefinity/Logs/) ?

What are we looking for in the error logs?

Hi Betsy,

If there is any exception thrown by Sitefinity it will be stored in the Error.Log file. Because sometimes this file can be very big, you can delete it and try to reproduce the error again. If something wrong happened the file will be recreated and the error logged.
Additionally I would like to suggest you to submit a support ticket about this issue so we can investigate it in detail.
