Theme not loading on Home Page of SF 7.3.5610

A week or so ago I upgraded a site to 7.3.5610 but when I deployed it to the server I discovered that the theme sometimes doesn't load, but only on the home page.  Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn't.

Any clues anyone?

I've upgraded sitefinity to version 8.0 now, but still the same problem on the home page only.

This only seems to happen when viewed from Chrome.  All the other pages have no problem though.  It's just the home page, but then sometimes it's just fine.  I desperately need resolution for this ASAP if anyone can help?
