Installation issue - Could not load file or assembly sitefin - Sitefinity - Bugs & Issues

Hi,

When trying to Install sitefinity i keep getting the following error, which appears when the project manger dialogue appears for the first time ('Please wait while we are setting up your first sitefinity site'):

=> FileNotFOundException

Could not load file or assembly'Sitefinity, Version=8.0.5710.0,

Culture = neutral, PublicKeyToken=b28c218413bdf563' or one of its

dependencies. The system cannot find the files specified.

Once i click to close this pop-up the project manager will crash.

Anyone know how to fix/work around this issue? (I have tried standalone project manager which also gives the same issue)

Hi Paul,

I am not able to reproduce the issue using the project manager for the 8.0 Hotfix 1.Are you able to create en empty project using 8.0 clean (5700) project manager? Then you will be able to upgrade it to 5710. Is the _EmptyProject created already by the project manager in the root folder?
