Vanilla Thunder Custom Module will not install Sitefinity 9.

I have tried this twice now each time simply creating a custom module using Thunder. Each time the module appears in the admin area for modules but is uninstalled and attempting to install causes a screen refresh and the module to still not be installed.

Things I have Tried,,

Setting the .Net version to 4.5 for the external project. 

A manual install through Settings->Advanced->System->Application Modules (As of yet Sitefinity insists that it cannot find the module file for the project when I attempt this)

Any help would be appreciated....
