How to replicate this error from fresh installation

  • Install new Sitefinity website
    • Sitefinity v9.2.6220.0 Standard Edition
    • SQL server 2008 R2
    • IIS 7.5
  • Create a news item
  • Click “Custom Fields for news” and add a new custom field called ArticleDate (of type Date & Time). Save changes
  • Go to News Settings > News > Controls > NewsFrontend > Views > NewsFrontendList
Edit Sort Expression to “PublicationDate ASC”. Save changes
  • Go back to “Custom Fields for news”, edit the custom field ArticleDate (e.g. change label). Save changes
  • Try to create a news item or edit existing news item
  • System displays error “When RenderChoiceAs is set to SingleCheckBox, there should be only one ChoiceItem in the collection”

Is there any solution for this? Thank you.

Hi Innspiral,

Do you find out the way to fix this issue? I met problem with the same Sitefinity version

Go to News Settings -> News -> Controls -> NewsBackend -> View -> NewsBackendEdit -> Sections -> MoreOptionsSection -> Fields

Choose 1 of 3 fields:

- AllowComments

- IncludeInSitemap

- multipleUrlsExpandableField

When I clicked Save changes button, a lot of choice items were added to ChoicesConfig (See attachment). Then I changed the RenderChoiceAs of 3 above fields  to DropDown and the error gone. It happens to blog post, news, event...
