custom authentication for SF 10

Are there any examples of creating custom authentication with Sitefinity 10? We customized our auth to use a SAML server using this example: github.com/.../

Now that example is not applicable to SF 10, since a number of classes, including the custom token http handler have gone away.

Also, the documentation hasn't been update for version 10 regarding this, as usual :(

I know this is old, but did you have any luck on this?
