Caching backend pages

Hi, 

In setting up caching for our SF 10 site, I've set something that caches the backend pages too. When I open up a page to edit text in a Content Block, it often won't save the changes, only saving the old version. Even if it does save the changes it takes days or multiple site restarts to get the changes to show on the front end. Should the cache be invalidated and updated as soon as the page is changed?
