Document Library - An item with the URL already exists error

I'm trying to create a document library at the root level called "logos" - when I do I get the error message that the "/logos" directory already exists. However, that directory does NOT already exist. I confirmed by looking in the libraries table in the database and it's not there. Any ideas why I'm getting this error? "Logos" isn't a reserved directory or anything, is it?
